I was reading the news this morning...
I just found out that my first boyfriend,
The boy I shared my first kiss with...
Was murdered Thursday morning.
We haven't even seen each other in over 20 years,
But I feel like I want to cry anyway.

Intense. Brings it too close to home doesn't it.
I found out last year that the first girl I really kissed was working on counter terrorism at the NRC post Sept. 11. Her hours became so long she lost her marriage but she seems to be doing well now.
Not as intense as your story but it's still always interesting to find out how people's lives evolve.
